London, Apr.25 (ANI): England football star Jermain Defoe's brother has died after a daylight street attack.

The 26-year-old suffered severe head and body injuries when he was punched and kicked by several men.

The assault took place on Monday in Leytonstone, East London, but details were only released yesterday.

Police said he was attacked between 4.15 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sources said the motive for the brutal attack was a "mystery". (ANI)
