London, March 16 (ANI): Michael Barrett, the man who taped sportscaster Erin Andrews in various stages of undress, has been jailed for two and a half years.
Using a modified peep-hole, Barrett had videotaped the ESPN reporter at a Tennessee hotel.
The divorced insurance executive, 48, accepted the charge of stalking last December after prosecutors accused him of altering hotel peepholes to make nude videos of Andrews, 31, reports SKY News.
According to court papers, prosecutors said Barrett uploaded as many as 10 videos of Andrews on the Internet.
They also said Barrett had posted videos of another 16 as-yet-unidentified victim onto the web.
In a statement issued through his attorney, Barrett, who was given a 27-month sentence, expressed 'deep regret' to Andrews 'for his conduct that caused her so much pain'. (ANI)
