Esports World Cup Foundation Expands Its Presence In India With S8UL Inclusion And BGMI Invitation For EWC 2025

The Esports World Cup Foundation announces its expansion in India, featuring S8UL's inclusion in the EWCF Club Partner Program and an invitation for a BGMI team to compete at EWC 2025. This marks a significant step in integrating India's growing esports market into global competitions.

The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has announced significant developments in its engagement with India's esports scene. This expansion includes a strategic broadcast partnership with a leading Indian streaming service, an invitation for a Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) team to the 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC), and the inclusion of S8UL in the EWCF Club Partner Program.

These initiatives are pivotal in EWCF's mission to unite global esports fans on a single platform. They also highlight India's growing importance in the global esports market, providing new opportunities for players, clubs, and fans across the region.

Esports World Cup Expands in India with S8UL

"The Esports World Cup’s purpose is to unite the global gaming community, and that means investing in regions driving the future of the industry," said Mike McCabe, Chief Operating Officer of the Esports World Cup Foundation.

"India is central to that vision. With hundreds of millions of mobile-first players, it’s home to an ecosystem evolving at an incredible pace—from championship Clubs like S8UL to leading digital platforms that are transforming how fans experience esports. Through expanded partnerships and competitive pathways, we’re shaping the future of Indian esports, empowering its players and Clubs to compete at the highest level at EWC, bringing the best of the Esports World Cup to the country."

The upcoming broadcast partner will play a crucial role in enhancing access and fan engagement throughout EWC 2025. This partnership will support India-based programming with localised broadcasts, community events, and exclusive content aimed at over 500 million gamers in India.

This year saw Mumbai-based S8UL Esports join the EWCF Club Partner Program. Formed through a merger of SOUL and 8bit teams, S8UL exemplifies growth within this program. The club has already secured qualification for EWC 2025 in Apex Legends and EA SPORTS FC while competing for spots in other titles like Tekken and BGMI.

The invitation extended to the winner of BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA PRO SERIES (BMPS) marks a historic moment as an Indian team will compete globally at EWC for the first time. This reflects mobile gaming's rapid growth and potential within India.
