Ethiopian athletes arrive for Mumbai marathon

Mumbai, Jan 18 (UNI) Two Ethiopian athletes, who finished in the top five in Mumbai marathon 2006, arrived here to try their luck in this year's marathon.

The athlete, Asfaw Gashaw Melese, who had won the Paris marathon in 2006 in a record time of two hours eight minutes and three seconds, was fifth in last years' Mumbai marathon.

Another athlete Tola Leila Aman stood third in last year's Mumbai marathon completing the distance in two hours thirty six minutes and seventeen seconds.

Both the athletes told reporters they hoped to repeat their feat in this years' marathon on January 21.
