Ethos felicitates 'International Chess Champ' Tania Sachdev

New Delhi, Feb 29 (UNI) Ethos Swiss Watch Studios felicitated International Grandmaster (IM) Tania Sachdev here today.

Tania, who started as the third seed in the Indian Women Championship last year, went through the event without a single defeat- the only player with such a record- and thus qualified for the Beijing Olympics.

Tania won the Commonwealth Chess title (girls U-8) at Dundee in 1993 when she was 14 days short of her seventh birthday.

The very next year, she bagged five British titles and was the first to win the title outright in the mixed junior event, becoming India's 8th Woman Grandmaster.

Tania is ranked amongst the top 50 Women Chess players in the world.
