India's golden boy and reigning Diamond League champion javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra will continue his quest to defend the title when he competes at the Eugene Diamond League Final 2023 - Prefontaine Classic.
The reigning Olympic and World champion Chopra won the first Diamond League Final 2023 meeting of the year at Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium in Doha, Qatar and followed that with a victory at Athletissima in Laussane.

The 25-year-old later went on to win his first World Athletics Championships gold, but finished second in the Zurich Diamond League 2023 last month. However, due to his performance overall, he reached final with 23 points for a third place finish in the qualification standings.
Now, Chopra will be up against leader Czech Jakub Vadlejch as well as Oliver Helander, Anderson Peters, Curtis Thompson and Andrian Mardare, who replaces Julian Weber, in the Diamond League 2023 final.
