Euro 2012: Venues and stadiums in Ukraine

Ukraine - co-host of UEFA Euro 2012 include four host cities Kiev, Donetsk, Kharkiv and Lviv. The Olympic Stadium in Kiev will also host the final of the tournament on 1st July 2012.

Apart from the Olympic Stadium, the other three stadiums are Donbass Arena in Donetsk, Metalist Stadium in Kharkiv and Arena Lviv in Lviv.

The first match in Ukraine will be held at Metalist Stadium in Kharkiv between Netherlands and Denmark on 9 June 2012.

Olympic Stadium in Kiev

Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex

Capacity: 65,400

The stadium is the premier sports venue of Ukraine and one of the world's largest (second largest in Eastern Europe, after the Muscovite Luzhniki Stadium).

The stadium will host the final match of Euro 2012.

The Olympic National Sports Complex (also known as Olympic Stadium, Republican Stadium or Central Stadium is a multi-use sports facility in Kiev, Ukraine, located on the slopes of city's central Cherepanov Hill, Pechersk Raion.

The complex also features several other sports facilities and designed to host Olympic games.

Seating capacity of 65,400, Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex is all set to host three Group D matches, a quarterfinal and the final.

For most of its history the stadium was known as the Republican stadium while it is currently called Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex.

Donbass Arena

Capacity: 52,518

The name of the stadium represents the shortened name for the Donets basin industrial region, hence - Donbas, however the official name in English spells after the Russian orthography.

is a stadium with a natural grass pitch in Donetsk, Ukraine that opened on 29 August 2009.

It is also one of the popular nightlife spots in Donetsk.

The facility is located in the center of the city, in the Lenin Comsomol park. With a capacity of 52,518 spectators.

Will be hosting three Group D matches, a quarterfinal and a semi-final.

Metalist Oblast Sports Complex

Capacity: 38,633

Commonly known as Metalist Stadium, it is currently used chiefly for football matches and is the home of FC Metalist Kharkiv.

Three group B matches are to be played there (with the other matches in that group played at Arena Lviv). It was renovated in December 2009.

Arena Lviv

Capacity: 34,915

Arena Lviv is a football specific stadium in Lviv, Ukraine. It is one of the eight UEFA Euro 2012 venues, where it will host three of the group-stage games.

It has also been the new home field of FC Karpaty Lviv since 10 December 2011.

The stadium's final name is yet to be announced. Lemberg stadium, the name of Lviv in German, is one of the names being considered.
