Molinari Confident Jon Rahm Will Regain Form Before Ryder Cup At Bethpage Black

Edoardo Molinari reassures fans about Jon Rahm's performance ahead of the Ryder Cup. Despite recent challenges, he believes Rahm will regain his form in time for the competition.

Edoardo Molinari remains optimistic about Jon Rahm's performance as the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black approaches. Despite Rahm's recent struggles since joining the LIV Tour, Molinari, a vice-captain under Luke Donald, believes the two-time major winner will regain form soon. "Not really," he said on the Sky Sports Golf Podcast when asked about concerns over Rahm's form. "Jon loves the Ryder Cup so much that he will probably round into form later this summer. I'm pretty sure about that."

Europe's triumph over the United States in Rome in 2023 was largely due to Rahm's stellar play. However, his recent performances have been less impressive, with only two wins and no significant impact at major tournaments. Molinari is confident that Rahm will bounce back and contribute significantly to Europe's efforts later this year.

Molinari Optimistic About Rahm's Performance

Molinari is also encouraged by the overall strength of the European team. He noted, "I think our team is in great shape. There's a lot of guys that have been playing well recently—even some of the non-superstars we had in Rome." This confidence stems from both established players and those who have emerged unexpectedly strong.

The European side has not won on American soil since their memorable victory at Medinah in 2012. Despite this, Molinari believes they can assemble a formidable team capable of challenging a strong American squad. He remarked on how each year presents predictable selections alongside surprising contenders.

Every Ryder Cup cycle brings its own set of challenges and surprises for team selection. According to Molinari, "Every year you feel like you have seven or eight guys that are easy to predict, and then you have a couple ones that are way left field." This dynamic ensures a mix of seasoned players and fresh talent.

The anticipation for the upcoming Ryder Cup continues to build as both teams prepare for intense competition. The European team's current form and depth provide hope for another successful campaign against their American counterparts.

The excitement surrounding the event is palpable among fans and players alike. With strategic planning and strong performances, Europe aims to reclaim victory on American soil after more than a decade.
