Kemboi aims to challenge misconceptions about Kenyan runners during his panel discussion. His insights are expected to provide a deeper understanding of the factors contributing to Kenya's success in distance running. This session is part of a broader effort to highlight significant sports literature.

Ezekiel Kemboi's achievements in steeplechase are remarkable. He won Olympic gold twice, in Athens (2004) and London (2012), and secured four world championship titles consecutively from 2009 to 2015. His dominance extended over a decade, making him one of only three athletes with two Olympic titles in this event.

Kemboi also earned silver medals at three World Championships before his gold streak began. These were held in Paris (2003), Helsinki (2005), and Osaka (2007). Additionally, he claimed a silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi.

His consistent performance saw him on the podium at five consecutive Commonwealth Games from Manchester 2002 to Glasgow 2014. Such accomplishments underscore his status as a legendary figure in athletics.

Ekamra Sports Book Awards

The ESLF will conclude with the Ekamra Sports Book Awards ceremony. This event will recognise outstanding sports books published over the past year. It promises to be an engaging conclusion to a day filled with insightful discussions on sports literature.
