Facile win for Salgaocar, Sporting Club de Goa

Panaji, Oct 10 (UNI) Two goals each by Bonaface Ambani, Eze Isiocha and Torence Lobo guided defending champions Sporting club de Goa to rout lowly placed Raia Sporting 7-0 in the GFA Professional Football League championship match being played at Duler ground in Mapusa.

The other goal for Sporting came from Bibian Fernandes.

With this win, Sporting came at par with table toppers Dempo Sports Club with 26 points. Dempo with better goal difference retained the top position.

In another match played at Tilak Ground, Vasco da gama, a fine brace by Felix enabled former champions Salgaocar Sport Club to outplay bottom-placed Marmugao Port Trust (MPT) 4-0 and earned full points.

After barren first half, Salgaocar played with renewed vigour and scored four quick goals -- two by Felix and one each by Anil Kumar and Nicolas Rodrigues.

With this win, Salgoacar came at par with Churchill Brothers with 24 points.
