Fans confident about England thrashing Germany

By Super Admin

London,Jun 24: England fans are confident about their team beating Germany in the next round. England beat Slovenia by 1-0 with a strike from Jermain Defoe, and will be facing Germany in the prequarters.

England fan Ben Goldthorpe from Islington said he was looking forward to the clash with Germany, adding that a win would make his World Cup, no matter what happened afterwards.

Paul Tovey, a lawyer from London, said, "I feel positive about it. We can put them out. I don't think we need to be scared of Germany."

The rivalry between Germany and England has produced some classic encounters in the past, including the 1966 final, when a Geoff Hurst hat-trick gave England their only world title

Many fans who had bet on England finishing on top based on what was predicted in the papers are in a scramble to get travel, accommodation and tickets swapped from Rustenburg on Saturday,Jun 26 to Bloemfontein on Sunday, Jun 27.

Peter Griffiths, a British expat originally from Manchester but now living in Johannesburg, said he had three tickets for the Rustenburg game on Saturday, Jun 26. But he no longer wanted to attend the interchanged match and would be trying to swap them with an American fan.
