Farman Khan shows Cyrus Vakil the exit door

Mumbai, May 14 (UNI) Fancied Cyrus Vakil made a premature exit from the men's draw, in the Otters Million Open Squash Tournament at the Otters Club, Bandra here today.

Vakil, who got off to a good start by winning the opening game, crashed to Farman, who rallied to a 6-9, 9-6, 9-1, 9-7 second round win.

In another tight contest, Dhiraj Nagpal struggled past S Kalimutu 5-9, 9-7, 9-0, 2-9, 9-5.

Second seed Manish Chotrani also advanced to the third round following a convincing straight games win over Sachin Jadhav.

Others advancing to the men's open third round were fourth seed Parthiban Ayappan of Chennai and No. 6 Samy Farrag, a coach from Egypt.

Sanjay Pawar, a professional, went down fighting to Harjinder Singh 6-9, 9-7, 2-9, 9-7, 9-5 in an exciting match.

It was a rewarding day for friends off court, as Abhishek Pradhan and Aakash Borwankar entered the boys under-17 third round and under-15 fourth round.
