London, July 12 (ANI): Manchester United coach Alex Ferguson is aiming to snatch Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o from under the noses of Manchester City with a 25 million pound bid, News of The Wordl reports.
The Barcelona striker has told club president Joan Laporta he'd be leaving the Nou Camp just hours before City ended their interest.
That left Manchester United with a clear run at the Cameroon international and they are ready to offer him a four-year deal on 150,000-pounds-a-week. Eto'o is also seeking more money based on appearances and goals.
Agent Jose Maria Masalles said: "At 28 he wants to join a club which will give him another chance of winning trophies. It can't be just about money. It has to be about the sporting project."
United will make it clear they will not be kept waiting and will not increase their offer. (ANI)
