Ferguson stuns Man U fans, no more signings this summer

By Super Admin

London, July 14(ANI): Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has stunned the Red Devils fans by saying that there would be no further signings at Old Trafford this summer.

Fergie still has the 60 million pounds that they had acquired from the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid, and after losing loaned striker Carlos Tevez to Manchester City, many fans were looking forward for a big-money capture.

"We've always had to pay a bit extra, and this summer we were not prepared to do that. I'm happy with our three signings and that has concluded our business," The Sun quoted Ferguson, as saying.

"We are in the middle of a difficult summer in football and it's difficult to get value," he added.

Earlier, Man U failed to grab Lyon striker Karim Benzema, as Real Madrid has signed him and they ditched a deal to land Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery after being quoted 50 million pounds. (ANI)
