Fever Telepathy Duo Caitlin Clark And Aliyah Boston Lead Record-Setting 30-Point Double-Doubles
Caitlin Clark joked that "telepathy" explains the strong link with Aliyah Boston after the Indiana Fever edged the Chicago Sky 114-106 in overtime. Both players delivered 30-point double-doubles, a first for WNBA teammates in the same game, and combined for a late basket that pushed the Fever into a five-point lead with just over one minute left.
Boston produced a career-best 34 points and added 12 rebounds, while Clark scored 32 and dished 10 assists. Eight of those assists set up Boston directly, underlining how often the offence flowed through their connection, especially in the tight moments of the overtime period against Chicago.

The shared feat placed Clark and Boston in the WNBA record books, as no teammate pair had ever both logged 30-point double-doubles in a single contest. Their combination proved decisive in overtime, when the Fever leaned on them to secure key scores and absorb the pressure from a late Sky push.
Clark summed up the understanding with Boston using one word: Telepathy, said Clark when asked to describe her on-court relationship with Boston. We're good friends, that always helps. You can be teammates and play basketball, but if you really care for each other, and love each other off the court, and that goes for our whole team, when you have that bond, and you truly get to know somebody and build a relationship with them, that helps. Because when you're on the court, you're gonna go through moments of adversitythat's just basketball. [Friendship]is what helps you get through, and I always know where Aliyah is. We've got a little telepathy now, so hopefully we get that going more.
Boston explained how Clark’s presence off ball screens shaped the Sky defence and opened lanes inside. The attention [Clark] gets coming off the ball screenobviously, she can shoot and make the right pass, so they were kind of up, and then she did a great job just hitting me, and then vice versa.
Clark and Boston’s numbers underlined their influence on the result for the Fever against the Sky, with both producing across several categories in the overtime win.
{TABLE_1}The pairing also drew praise from head coach Stephanie White, who views Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston as central to the Indiana Fever project. She said: When you have a point guard and you have a center that are special, you can build a team around that. Then you add in Kelsey [Mitchell]... it can make for some really special things. We've got growth opportunities, and there's no doubt about it, but I'm proud of this group, and those two put us on their shoulders.
For the Indiana Fever, the performance from Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston strengthened belief in the core of the roster. Their statistical impact, late-game poise, and off-court friendship all fed into a record-setting victory that the team and league are likely to remember for the way a guard and centre controlled a tense overtime contest.
