Indiana Fever Achieve Fifth Consecutive Win Despite Caitlin Clark's Absence

Natasha Howard's impressive 21 points and Aliyah Boston's double-double performance led the Indiana Fever to a 78-74 victory over the Seattle Storm. This win marks the Fever's fifth consecutive triumph, despite missing star guard Caitlin Clark due to a groin injury. Clark has been absent for seven games, dating back to before the All-Star break.

Aari McDonald contributed significantly with nine points and nine assists for Indiana. Sophie Cunningham also made her mark by hitting four 3-pointers, ending with 17 points. Meanwhile, Nneka Ogwumike was Seattle's top scorer with 16 points, shooting 7 for 20 from the field. Gabby Williams added 12 points, nine rebounds, and five assists for the Storm.

Fever Win Fifth Straight Without Clark

The Las Vegas Aces rebounded from a heavy loss to the Minnesota Lynx by defeating the Golden State Valkyries 101-77. Jewell Loyd tied a team record with seven 3-pointers, contributing 27 points off the bench. Jackie Young added 20 points and eight assists, while Aja Wilson recorded a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

The Valkyries struggled with their shooting, managing only 34.2% from the field. Iliana Rupert led Golden State with 17 points, while Carla Leite and Laeticia Amihere each scored 14 points in their efforts against Las Vegas.

Sabrina Ionescu delivered an outstanding performance with 36 points and 11 rebounds as the New York Liberty triumphed over the Connecticut Sun, winning 87-78. Despite being known for her long-range shooting skills, Ionescu excelled inside the arc this time around.

Jonquel Jones supported Ionescu's efforts by adding 21 points and nine rebounds for Liberty. Emma Meesseman contributed with 11 points in her second game back in action. For Connecticut, Tina Charles scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Aneesah Morrow chipped in with 16 points and nine rebounds.

The reigning WNBA champions have been playing without All-Star Breanna Stewart due to her knee injury. This victory further solidifies Liberty's position at the top of the Eastern Conference standings.
