India duo R Praggnanadhaa and Vaishali have emerged victorious in Round 3 of the FIDE candidates on Sunday (April 7).
Notably, the match between Nijat Abasov and Hikaru Nakamura concluded in an early draw after a series of piece exchanges. Similarly, Gukesh D's strategic gameplay against Ian Nepomniachtchi resulted in a stalemate, with Nepomniachtchi successfully defending his position.

Alireza Firouzja and Fabiano Caruana's game also ended in a draw, despite Firouzja gaining an extra pawn. Caruana's active pieces and bishops balanced the scales.
The highlight of the day came from the match between Vidit Santosh Gujrathi and Praggnanandhaa, with Praggnanandhaa securing a win after gaining a decisive advantage. He will be up against Nakamura in the next round.
