Cameroon take on Asian champs

By Anmolg

Bloemfontein: Today's match brings us a classic encounter between Number One(according to Fifa ranking) African nation Cameroon, and Asian Football Confederation champions(AFC)Japan in the second Group E match in Bloemfontein.

Cameroon will be making an attempt to notch their first ever victory over a Japan side which has defeated them twice, including once in the FIFA Confederations Cup. Both of these nations have struggled to hit their stride in warm-up games against fellow FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Cameroon will be relying heavily on their star striker Sameul Eto. Eto who helped Inter Milan win the League championship and the Champion's league. He has been in prominent form in the last few years but his shoulder injury will be of prime concern for the African side.

The African side who have got five World Cup experiences have not been able to advance past the group stages in last three finals appearances , winning just once in their nine matches.

On the otherhand, Japan's biggest star is former Celtic playmaker Shunsuke Nakamura, who in the summer 2009 made the switch from Glasgow to La Liga with Espanyol. The squad is considered the best in Asia having won last five editions of the AFC Asian Cup, they will be hoping to bring out a good show in their fourth
appearance in the Fifa World Cup. However they will be missing their iconic mid-fielder Hidetoshi Nakata who hung up his boots at the age of 29.

All in all the match is sure to be an epic match and and is sure to deliver good football.
