'Filthy' CWG village, water-logged

New Delhi, Sep 23: The CWG village is going to be open on Sep 23 but the whole area was water-logged just ahead of its opening, as CNN-IBN reported.

Controversies regarding the Commonwealth Games started with corruption in the games federation, then it continued with flood, dengue, bridge and ceiling collapse and so many.

Now the channel showed how several part of the game village were still remained under water due to heavy rain in New Delhi.

Many well known athletes from several countries already had pulled out their names from the games due to security concern and still many were threatening to move out.

Games federation chief, Michael Fennell earlier marked the village as filthy.

Now he decided to ask PM Manmohan Singh's intervention into the matter and it is expected that he would meet Singh on Sep 23.
