Fletcher to quit as England coach
London, Apr 19 (UNI) England coach Duncan Fletcher will quit his job after their last World Cup match against West Indies tomorrow, according to BBC.
Peter Moores, currently the England Academy coach, will take over from Fletcher on a temporary basis.
He will be in charge until the Schofield report, which would inquire into the Ashes debacle and World Cup failure, is published early next month.
Fiftyeight-year-old Fletcher, who was appointed caoch in 1999, had come under increasing pressure after England were beaten 5-0 in the Ashes series and then failed to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup.
They exited the World Cup after a humiliating nine-wicket loss to South Africa on Tuesday.
England play West Indies in their final Super Eight match tomorrow in Barbados and then face them in a home Test series starting May 17.
