Fragrant good luck wishes for Men in Blue

Chennai, Mar 13 (UNI) This good luck message for the success of the Men in Blue in the World Cup at the Caribbean came with wafting fragrance.

A giant ten-foot long and 40 mm diameter 'agarbathi'(incense stick) was lit on the shores of the Marina Beach near Light House here today to wish Indian cricket team grand success in the mega event in the West Indies.

A large number of people, who had come to the seashore, thronged the place as Chennai Corporation Mayor M Subramanian lit up the mega agarbathi weighing 6.5 kg created by the famous Mysore-based N Ranga Rao and Sons (NRR) under its popular ''Cycle'' brand of agarbathis.

The giant agarbathi will spread its magical fragrance for nearly 40 hours.

With the World Cup cricket fever gripping the country, the NRR Group has taken this special initiative to light the mega agarbathi to send ''fragrant'' wishes to the Indian Cricket team, Group Coordinator Ramamurthy said.

The cost of this giant agarbathi was around Rs 3,500, company sources said.
