Frankie Edgar vs. Cub Swanson 2 added to UFC Atlantic City

Bengaluru, March 22: The UFC officially added Frankie Edgar vs. Cub Swanson 2 to the fight card of UFC Fight Night 128: Barboza vs Lee which will be held at the Broadwalk Hall in Atlantic Ctiy, New Jersey on April 21.

Two of the UFC's most respected warriors will meet in a rematch from 2014 in the co-main event of UFC Atlantic City. Last time these two met Edgar won the featherweight bout via fifth-round submission.

The former lightweight champion Edgar has not fought in the Garden State since defeating Spencer Fisher in November 2007, making this a homecoming over 10 years in the making.

And after winning seven of his last nine, Edgar is eager to get back into the title conversation by beating Swanson, who is 4-1 in his last five bouts, a stretch that includes Fight of the Night wins over Dooho Choi and Artem Lobov.

In his most recent bout, Edgar was knocked out for the first time ever by Brian Ortega at UFC 222 earlier this month. While Swanson heads into the fight after the submission loss to Ortega at UFC Fight Night 123 in December last year. Before dropping his most recent fight, Swanson was on four-fight win streak.
