Franz Wagner Matches Franchise Record With 25 Points In Fourth Quarter To Lead Magic Past Pistons

Franz Wagner scored 25 of his total 32 points in the fourth quarter, equalling a franchise record and helping the Orlando Magic secure a 121-113 victory against the Detroit Pistons. Paolo Banchero contributed significantly with 32 points.

Franz Wagner delivered an impressive performance, scoring 25 of his 32 points in the final quarter, tying a franchise record. Paolo Banchero also shone with 32 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists as the Orlando Magic defeated the Detroit Pistons 121-113. Jalen Suggs returned from injury to contribute eight points in 16 minutes, while Wendell Carter added a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Wagner's fourth-quarter heroics matched Tracy McGrady's franchise record for points in any quarter. McGrady had previously set this record on March 9, 2003, against Denver. The Magic's victory ended their five-game losing streak. Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with 35 points and 11 assists, while Malik Beasley chipped in with 18 points.

Wagner Scores 25 Points in Fourth Quarter Win

In a pivotal moment, Wagner hit two three-pointers and scored 12 points during a decisive 20-4 run. This surge transformed a two-point deficit into a commanding 14-point lead at the start of the fourth quarter. Banchero and Suggs also contributed with crucial three-pointers during this four-minute stretch.

The Magic improved their shooting significantly in the final quarter after struggling earlier. They made an impressive 15 of 18 shots, including six of seven from beyond the arc, resulting in a remarkable 42-point fourth quarter.

James Harden was instrumental for the Los Angeles Clippers, scoring 40 points to help them defeat the Milwaukee Bucks 127-117. Norman Powell added an impressive 33 points, while Kawhi Leonard contributed with 18 over three quarters. This victory snapped Milwaukee's five-game winning streak.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee with a strong performance of his own, scoring 36 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Damian Lillard also excelled with his second triple-double in two days, recording 29 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists.

Rockets Edge Cavaliers Again

Amen Thompson achieved his second career triple-double as the Houston Rockets narrowly defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers again, winning by a score of 135-131. Alperin Sengun and Jeff Green each scored 26 points for Houston. Fred VanVleet added another solid performance with 20 points and six assists.

Darius Garland was outstanding for Cleveland, scoring most of his game-high total of 39 points in the second half. Despite Donovan Mitchell adding another strong showing with his own second-half surge of scoring, Cleveland suffered its third consecutive loss.

Evan Mobley returned for Cleveland after missing four games but struggled to make an impact. He finished with seven points and eight rebounds over nearly half an hour on court. Despite their recent struggles at home, Cleveland still boasts an impressive record at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse this season.
