Freddie ready to 'sort out' the Aussies, says chief selector Miller

By Super Admin

London, July 27 (ANI): England cricket team selector Geoff Miller has said that all-rounder Andrew Flintoff is bullish about his chances of turning out for the team at Edgbaston and is looking forward to "sorting out" the Australians.

Flintoff is in the squad for the Edgbaston clash, which starts on Thursday, despite a chronic knee problem casting serious doubt on his ability to finish the series.

All-rounder Freddie's heroics at Lord's have given Andrew Strauss' men a 1-0 lead.

Miller reckons the 31-year-old is winning his fitness battle.

"Fred is desperate to finish this series, with a win.

He's announced his retirement from Tests after this - so you know Fred will be giving everything he can to actually win these Ashes.

I'm confident he'll be ready to sort out Australia.

They'll be quite happy if he wasn't in. But I'm sure he will play," The Telegraph quoted Miller, as saying.(ANI)
