Port Louis, December 2: Dylan Frittelli picked up the second European Tour win of his career at the Mauritius Open after a dramatic play-off with Arjun Atwal on Sunday.
Frittelli has been in fine form in recent weeks as he claimed a tie for second at the Turkish Airlines Open, and shared fourth spot at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.
His form in the 2017 season earned him the Graduate of the Year accolade, and he showed why with a nail-biting victory on the last day.
After scores of 67, 66 and 68 in the first three days, Frittelli was still one shot behind overnight leaders Atwal and Louis De Jager ahead of round four.

He picked up two shots on the front nine and when a fourth birdie of the day came his way at the 10th he found himself one ahead of Atwal – whose challenge had stuttered after bogeys at one and eight.
Frittelli gave himself a further cushion thanks to a four at the par-five 14th, while Atwal dropped another at 11.
The leader signed for a 67 but behind him Atwal was battling back with birdies at 12 and 14 before sensationally forcing a play-off at the last.
Atwal very nearly snatched the win at the 18th as his eagle putt burned the left edge, but he had to settle for a one-hole shootout.

His tee-shot on the first play-off hole - the 18th - found the rough, though, handing Frittelli the advantage, and the South African duly capitalised with a birdie to add the title in Mauritius to the Lyoness Open he won in June.
