Games closing ceremony to have NE as theme
Guwahati, Feb 11 (UNI) The successful inaugural ceremony of the 33rd National Games has encouraged the Games ceremonial committee to adopt a different theme for the closing ceremony to be held on February 18.
The state health and family welfare minister and chairman of the ceremonial committee Himanta Biswa Sarma said the closing ceremony would also be a grand affair to be remembered by people for many years to come.
''We have planned to make the North East as the theme for the closing function and singing sensation 'Voice of India' Debojit Saha will also perform in the grand show,'' he informed today.
While Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who is a representative from the state to the Upper House, has given his consent to attend the closing ceremony as the chief guest, a number of Bollywood stars are also likely to perform that day, he added.
