Gangjee drops to tied 22nd; Bhullar 39th at Asian Tour Internat

Chonburi, Thailand, Mar 21 (UNI) Rahil Gangjee was the best placed Indian at the end of day two of the Asian Tour International despite failing to complete his second round today.

The second round could not be completed as a result of delays caused due to lightning.

Rahil Gangjee could only complete 14 holes and is tied 22nd at the moment with a total of six under.

Gangjee, who had shot 66 in the first round, was even par after 14 holes. His second round included birdies on the second, sixth, 11th and 14th and bogeys on the first, third, 10th and 13th.

Meanwhile, Gaganjeet Bhullar climbed to tied 39th after firing six under 66 in round two.

His total now stands at four under 140 since he had shot 74 in the first round.

Bhullar sank an eagle on the par five second hole and birdies on the sixth and ninth to be four under at the turn. He then dropped a bogey on the 12th before coming up with three consecutive birdies on the 13th, 14th and 15th. He closed with a bogey-birdie on the 17th and 18th.

Digvijay Singh (72, 68) joined Bhullar in tied 39th place. His bogey-free 68 in the second round included birdies on the 11th, 13th, sixth and seventh.

Gaurav Ghei slipped from overnight tied 16th to tied 61st as a result of his round of 73.

Ghei, who had shot 68 in the first round now has a total of three under 141.

Among other Indians in the fray, Arjun Singh (72, 70) is tied 72nd with a total of two under 142 while Gurbaaz Mann (73, 70) and Firoz Ali (73, 70) shot identical scores on both days to be tied 85th at one under 143.

Amandeep Johl is also tied 85th with a score of one under having completed 16 holes in his second round after carding 68 in the first round.

Thailand's Sattaya Supupramai and Korea's Noh Seung-yul are currently the joint leaders at thirteen under having completed 13 and 12 holes respectively in the second round, Chinese Taipei's Lin Wen-tang is the clubhouse leader at eleven under 133.
