Gangjee posts tied ninth finish at Midea China Classic

Guangzhou, China, Oct 19 (UNI) India's Rahil Gangjee posted a tied ninth finish at the Midea China Classic here today.

Gangjee (70, 69, 64, 69) totaled 12 under 272 for the tournament, finishing five strokes behind the winner Noh Seung-yul of South Korea.

Gangjee's two under 69 in the final round included birdies on the first, eighth, 16th, 18th and bogeys on the fourth and 15th.

Digvijay Singh (68, 72, 68, 67) had the next best total among the Indians as he finished tied 19th at nine under 275.

Digvijay's four under 67 in the fourth round was highlighted by birdies on the first, fourth, sixth, 14th, 16th and a bogey on the seventh.

Other Indians in the fray, Gaganjeet Bhullar and Anirban Lahiri finished tied 25th with identical totals of eight under 276.
