Gaurav Ghei maintains lead at AIS Golf Open

New Delhi, Apr 7 (UNI) Gaurav Ghei carded a four-under-par 68 to maintain a two-stroke sole lead at the inaugural Rs 60 lakh AIS Golf Open here today.

Ghei totalled 16-under-par 200 to remain at the top ahead of Jyoti Randhawa who played some excellent golf to tie the course-record with a nine-under-par 63 at the Delhi Golf Course.

Randhawa, who took his total to 14-under-par 202, carded the best round of the day, a bogey-free nine-under-par 63, becoming the second player in three days to tie the existing course record.

Ashok Kumar is in sole third place after he shot a three-under-par 69, taking his total to 11-under-par 205 while Kolkata's SSP Chowrasia is a further stoke behind after he carded a one-under-par 71 in the third round to take his 54-hole total to 10-under-par 206.

Veteran pro Shiv Prakash was also in fine touch, carding a six-under-par 66 to move up to fifth place with a total of eight-under-par 208.

Singapore's Lam Chih Bing was in sixth place with a total of five-under-par 211, while Digvijay Singh was a stroke further behind after he carded a three-under-par 69 today.

Manav Jaini, Shamim Khan, Randhir Singh Ghotra and Gaganjeet Bhullar were tied for eighth place at 213.

Gagan Verma leads the amateur field with a total of two-over-par 218.
