GD Goenka Sports Arena inaugurated in Delhi, to serve 3000 Athletes - Check Out the Facilities

In a significant move to boost sports culture and fitness among youth, GD Goenka Public School in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi introduced the GD Goenka Sports Arena on Tuesday (May 7).

They partnered with ITMagia and sports-tech firm Push Sports for the facility in the capital city. This initiative aligns with India's broader goals encapsulated by the Khelo India programme and FIT India Movement, aiming to instil a sports-driven spirit from the grassroots level and make fitness a core component of daily life.

The newly launched sports facility in New Delhi spans an acre within the school's expansive campus, showcasing an impressive array of sports facilities.

What are the facilities of the GD Goenka Sports Arena?

Among the facilities, there is a 9v9 FIFA-approved artificial turf for football and four cricket pitches equipped with bowling machines. The arena also boasts courts for padel and pickleball, an indoor arena for basketball and badminton, a heated covered swimming pool, and a volleyball court. Designed to serve 3000 students, the GD Goenka Sports Arena is set to become a cornerstone for promoting physical well-being and sportsmanship among students.
