George Jarvis To Face Rungrawee In Rematch With World Title Implications At ONE Fight Night 44

ONE Championship has announced the main event for ONE Fight Night 44, where two former World Title challengers will settle unfinished business. Thai veteran Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong faces George Jarvis in a lightweight Muay Thai rematch on June 26.

They first clashed in November 2024 at ONE Friday Fights 85. Jarvis dominated his experienced Thai rival with relentless strikes before ending the contest in round three via knockout. The victory proved especially meaningful for the English star. It earned him a US$100,000 contract and a spot on ONE Championship's global roster.

The 30-year-old Thai veteran from Sitsongpeenong carries a massive 158-49 career record with 50 victories via finish. Rungrawee holds a 6-3 ONE mark after a rollercoaster promotional journey.

He started his ONE career explosively, claiming five wins in his first six matches. After losing to Jarvis, he bounced back with a dominant decision victory over Youssef Assouik. That performance eventually earned him a title shot against lightweight Muay Thai king Regian Eersel.

At The Inner Circle in April, Rungrawee pushed the champion through five grueling rounds but lost via decision. Before that, his devastating leg kicks earned him the moniker "Legatron" and worldwide recognition for his kicking arsenal.

Standing across from him will be the 25-year-old English striker from Lumpini Crawley. Jarvis carries a 28-5 professional record with five ONE Championship victories. He's established himself as one of lightweight striking's most technical and intelligent fighters.

After suffering a split-decision loss in his ONE debut, Jarvis reeled off four consecutive victories against world-class opposition. That streak earned him a lightweight Muay Thai title match against Eersel in August 2025. But he fell short against the legendary champion.

The setback proved temporary. Jarvis returned to winning form this March with a victory over Thai superstar Sinsamut Klinmee in a three-round war. The performance reminded everyone why he earned that global roster contract.

A victory over Rungrawee could push Jarvis toward a potential title rematch with Eersel. For Rungrawee, this rematch represents redemption. The Thai veteran needs to prove the first loss was an aberration.
