Goa girls win baseball title

Margao, Nov 16 (UNI) Goa girls emerged champions in the baseball under-17 section in the 53rd National School Games, organised by the Goa Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs.

In the finals today, Goa girls outplayed Madhya Pradesh by 7-1 homes. Suvarna and Neha scored two each, while Asha, Sonali, and Ida scored one each for the winners. Renu reduced the margin for MP.

Madhya Pradesh had to be content with the second place. Delhi girls finished third defeating Punjab by 10-3 homes. For Delhi, Hema, Harshita, and Khushboo made two homes each.
