Goa govt releases Rs 25 lakhs for National Games

Panaji, Apr 8 (UNI) On the directive of the Chief Minister Digamber Kamat, Sports Minister Manohar Azgaokar has released an amount of Rs 25 lakhs to the Goa Olympic Association (GOA) through the sports Authority of Goa, towards the full payment of bid amount for the 36th National Games 2011, already allotted to the state.

Goa Government, GOA and Indian Olympic Association (IOA), will jointly sign the host city contract soon, GOA Secretary Gurudatta Bhakta stated, in a released issued here today.
