Goa to host 53rd National School Games from Nov 12

Panaji, Nov 6 (UNI) The Goa Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs (DSYA) will host the 53rd National School Games in football for girls U-19 and baseball for boys and girls U-17 under the aegis of the School Games Federation of India from November 12 to 17 at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Fatorda Margao in South Goa.

In the six-day event, about 1500 participants, including officials, from about 34 states and Union territories are expected to participate.

The various organising committees have also been formed under the chairmanship of State Chief Minister Digamber Kamat, who also holds the Sports portfolio, for the smooth condunct of the event.
