Godara's sixer helps Sahgal Stud down Cavalry

New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) Dhruvpal Godara fired six goals to help Sahgal Stud surge past Cavalry (Red) 8.5-7 in a Pool B' encounter of the Halcyon Baroda polo Cup, here today.

In another Pool B' match, Manupal Godara stuck five goals including a hattrick in the last chukker to help JPC secure a 8-8 draw against SIXT.

Dhrupal Godara opened the account for Sahgal Stud and that remained to be the only goal of the first chakker. The second chukker saw a keen tussle with Santiago Cernada equalizing for Cavalry Red. Godara fired his second goal which was nullified by a superb effort from Santiago.

Kelvin Johnson made it 3-2 in Sahgal Stud's favour while Ravi Rathore equalized for Cavalry in the dying minutes of the second chakker.

Cernada helped Cavalry take the lead for the first time by firing from the right. However within minutes, Godara restored parity.

Cernada, again put Cavalry ahead at the end of the third chakker.

The final chukker saw Gaurav Sahgal finding the mark to equalize.

TI Ebrahim once again helped Cavalry gain a solitary goal advantage.

Godara not only erased the deficit but also helped his team go ahead by scoring two consecutive goals. Cernada scored one more goal to equalize but the final nail was stuck by Godara as Sahgal Stud emerged victorious.

In the other match, apart from Manupal Godara, Lokendra Singh stuck twice for JPC while Angad Kalaan scored five for SIXT.
