Gurugram, March 24: Two-time Hero Indian Open champion SSP Chawrasia is set to return to one of India's most prestigious golf tournaments, scheduled to take place from March 27-30, 2025, at the DLF Golf and Country Club.
The event, boasting a prize purse of US$2.25 million, will witness an elite international field competing for top honours.

Chawrasia, one of India's most accomplished golfers, is among the select few who have secured back-to-back Hero Indian Open titles, achieving this feat in 2016 and 2017. He is also one of the most consistent performers at this tournament, having finished runner-up on four occasions (2015, 2013, 2006, and 1999).
Remarkably, between 2013 and 2017, Chawrasia either won or finished second in every edition of the tournament, making him a standout figure in Hero Indian Open history.
Recognising his incredible record, Dr. Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, extended a special invitation to Chawrasia, allowing him to compete in the 2025 edition of the tournament.
The 46-year-old golfer has a special connection with the DLF Golf and Country Club, having won two significant DP World Tour (DPWT) titles at this venue - the 2014 Avantha Masters and the 2017 Hero Indian Open.
With a total of four DP World Tour victories - including the 2008 Emaar Masters and 2016 Hero Indian Open at Delhi Golf Club - Chawrasia remains one of India's most successful professional golfers. His overall career tally stands at six international titles.
The tournament will feature a 138-player field, including two other past champions: Keita Nakajima (2024 winner) and Marcel Siem (2023 winner).
Several in-form players will also tee off at the event, including Richard Mansell, who recently won the Porsche Singapore Classic, and Joshua Berry, fresh from his Kolkata Challenge victory on the HotelPlanner Tour, securing him a spot at the Hero Indian Open.
One of the strongest fields in the tournament's history, the 2025 edition will see five DP World Tour winners from this season:
Additionally, four players from the current DP World Tour's Race to Dubai Top 10 rankings will be in action:
The tournament also boasts 12 winners from the 2024 DP World Tour season, making it an unmissable spectacle for golf fans.
Golf enthusiasts can witness world-class action at the Hero Indian Open 2025, as entry for spectators remains free across all four days of the tournament.
