Draymond Green Commends Jimmy Butler's Humungous Performance In Warriors' Victory Over Houston Rockets

In a thrilling Game 4, Draymond Green praised Jimmy Butler for his significant contributions to the Golden State Warriors' win over the Houston Rockets. Despite injury, Butler scored 27 points and showcased remarkable resilience.

Draymond Green praised Jimmy Butler of the Golden State Warriors for his pivotal role in their 109-106 win against the Houston Rockets in Game 4. Despite missing Game 3 due to a pelvic and deep gluteal muscle contusion, Butler returned to lead with 27 points. His performance included five crucial free throws in the final minute, helping his team edge closer to the Western Conference semi-finals.

Butler's fourth-quarter heroics were significant, scoring 14 points during this period. His efforts tied him with Michael Jordan for the most playoff games with at least 25 points, five assists, five rebounds, and zero turnovers. Green highlighted Butler's resilience, noting how he played through pain without complaints and made impactful plays when it mattered most.

Green Lauds Butler's Key Role in Warriors Win

Green expressed admiration for Butler’s determination, saying, "He played through the injury. Was beautiful. But what his presence does for this team is humongous." He emphasised how Butler's ability to make plays for himself and others was crucial. Green also recalled a memorable rebound by Butler that reminded him of Jonathan Kuminga's athleticism.

Golden State’s coach Steve Kerr echoed Green’s sentiments about Butler’s impact. He acknowledged that if it weren't playoff season, Butler might not have played due to his injury. Kerr stated, "He’s Jimmy Butler, so this is what he does." He praised Butler’s final rebound and free throws as key moments in securing the victory.

Kerr now focuses on Game 5 against Houston, despite holding a 3-1 series lead. He noted the challenge of closing out a series against a strong opponent like Houston. "They’re always the hardest ones," Kerr remarked about close-out games. He recognised Houston as a formidable team with pride and a great coach.

Butler admitted feeling significant pain after his performance but is expected to play in Game 5 later this week. The Warriors aim to advance further in the playoffs with another win over Houston.
