Kanpur, Sep 12 (UNI) The trimming of grass at the Green Park Stadium here was underway in full swing after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) passed directions in this regard.
The BBCI had directed to clean the grass at the earliest in view of the coming one day test match against England during November next, Green Park Stadium pitch curator Shiv Kumar said today.
BCCI pitch and ground committee chairman Daljeet Singh visited the stadium and passed the directions recently in this connection, Kumar informed.
The curator said that eleven workers have been deployed to remove the wild grass from the field. The work would be completed within a fortnight, he informed.
The work was undertaken every year after the rainy season, he added.
