Tyrese Haliburton is determined to play in the Indiana Pacers' crucial Game 6 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, despite dealing with an injury. During Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Haliburton aggravated a calf injury, which forced him to leave the court temporarily. Although he returned in the second quarter, his performance was limited, ending with four points, seven rebounds, and six assists.
Haliburton has been a key player for the Pacers this postseason. He averages 17.9 points and 9.1 assists over 21 games. The team has an impressive record when he performs well, going 8-1 when he scores at least 20 points and 9-1 when he provides at least 10 assists.

The Pacers are preparing for the possibility that Haliburton might not be available for Game 6 in Indianapolis. Coach Rick Carlisle mentioned that Haliburton will undergo evaluations tomorrow to decide his availability. "He'll go through the day tomorrow," Carlisle stated. "Our prep session is tomorrow late afternoon."
Haliburton participated in practice on Wednesday but only engaged in light activities such as watching film and shooting lightly. The team officially listed him as questionable for Game 6 after submitting their injury report later that day.
Despite his injury concerns, Haliburton remains eager to contribute to his team's success in Thursday's must-win game. "I have to understand the risks, ask the right questions," Haliburton said. "But I'm a competitor. I want to play. I'm going to do everything in my power to play."
The player expressed confidence in both the medical staff and the organisation's decision-making process regarding his health. "I have a lot of trust in our medical staff," he stated. "I have a lot of trust in our organisation to make the right decision."
Coach Rick Carlisle also commented on Haliburton's status during an interview with Indianapolis radio station 107.5 The Fan earlier in the day. He noted that Haliburton would be closely monitored over the next 36 hours and likely remain a game-time decision.
As Game 6 approaches, all eyes are on whether Haliburton will take part or if Indiana will need to adjust their strategy without him.
