Hamilton is bookies favourite to lift 2010 F-I championship

By Super Admin

London, Dec. 28 (ANI): Bookies have installed Lewis Hamilton as 11/4 favourite to win the 2010 world racing championship, closely followed by his bitter rival Fernando Alonso at 7/2.

Incredibly, according to The Sun, they also rate comeback giant Michael Schumacher 5/1 third favourite to scoop his eighth title.

Hamilton's teammate, Jenson Button, on the other hand is only a 6/1 shot to repeat his 2009 title triumph.

The full line-up of odds, provided by Paddy Power, is 11/4 Hamilton, 7/2 Alonso, 5/1 Schumacher, 6/1 Button and Sebastian Vettel, 9/1 Felipe Massa, 11/1 Nico Rosberg, 16/1 Mark Webber, 25/1 Robert Kubica, 33/1 bar.

For the constructors' championship, they go 7/4 McLaren, 9/4 Ferrari, 3/1 Mercedes GP, 4/1 Red Bull.

Other bets include 11/2 on Hamilton and Button finishing first and second in the drivers' championship and 5/4 on either one of them taking the title.

Then there are the "Schumacher Specials," including 6/1 on him winning the first race of the 2010 season in Bahrain and 1/10 on him winning a Grand Prix sometime during the year.

The odds on how many races the 40-year-old maestro will win go 11/2 None, 5/1 One, 9/2 Two, 7/2 Three, 9/4 Four and 15/8 Five or more. (ANI)
