Happy 77th Independence Day! As the nation celebrates completing 76 years of freedom, some of India's sports bodies took to social media to extend their wishes to the country men on Tuesday (August 15).

The sports bodies like Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Hockey India spread their wishes on the Independence Day 2023 on their social media platforms.

"This Independence Day, we hoist the tricolour high and let the hockey sticks fly even higher! Let's score goals of freedom, unity, and glory together. Hockey India wishes all our incredible players, supporters, and fellow Indians a very Happy 77th Independence Day!" Hockey India posted on X along with a touching video.

"Wishing every Indian a very Happy 77th Independence Day. Jai Hind," posted BCCI along with a picture with a cricket stadium background and the message of Happe Independence Day.

"May the spirit of freedom always guide us towards a better tomorrow. Happy Independence Day!" posted Badminton Association of India (BAI) on X.

"A day to honor our past, celebrate our present & work towards a brighter future. Wishing everyone a happy Independence Day!" the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) posted on X.
