James Harden Surpasses Carmelo Anthony To Move Into 10th On NBA Career Scoring List

In a closely contested game, James Harden scored 34 points and moved into 10th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list. Despite his efforts, the Los Angeles Clippers fell short against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Minnesota Timberwolves secured their fifth consecutive victory by defeating the Los Angeles Clippers 109-106. Naz Reid's crucial 3-pointer with just 13 seconds left was pivotal. Jaden McDaniels contributed significantly, scoring 27 points. James Harden led the Clippers with 34 points and climbed to 10th on the NBA's all-time scoring list, surpassing Carmelo Anthony. However, Harden missed a potential game-tying shot at the buzzer.

Julius Randle added 24 points for Minnesota, while Reid finished with 19 points off the bench, hitting five of eight from beyond the arc. McDaniels sealed the win by making two free throws with only 4.8 seconds remaining. The Clippers' Kawhi Leonard scored 20 points, and Ivica Zubac recorded a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Unfortunately for the Clippers, they have now lost seven of their last eight games.

The Detroit Pistons ended Milwaukee's dominance in Detroit by winning 124-112, snapping a long-standing losing streak against them at home since February 2018. Cade Cunningham was instrumental in this victory, scoring 23 points and providing 12 assists. Jalen Duren also shone with a double-double performance of 16 points and an equal number of rebounds.

Isaiah Stewart added to Detroit's tally with his contribution of 19 points. Despite Kevin Porter Jr.'s season-high of 32 points for Milwaukee, they have now lost ten out of their last twelve games. Kyle Kuzma chipped in with an additional 15 points for Milwaukee.

Jalen Johnson delivered another outstanding performance for the Atlanta Hawks, achieving his second consecutive triple-double in their win over the Washington Wizards. He scored an impressive 30 points along with grabbing 12 rebounds and dishing out as many assists in their commanding victory of 131-116.

This triumph helped Atlanta break a three-game losing streak and avenge an earlier loss to Washington in November. Onyeka Okongwu supported Johnson's efforts by adding another solid performance with his own contribution of 21 points.

CJ McCollum was a standout performer for Washington despite their third consecutive defeat; he scored a total of seven three-pointers contributing towards his overall scoreline of twenty-eight points during this match-up.

The recent games highlighted impressive individual performances across different teams. From Reid's decisive shot for Minnesota to Johnson's consistent triple-doubles for Atlanta, players are showcasing remarkable skills on court this season. Meanwhile, Detroit’s win over Milwaukee marked a significant moment as they ended their long-standing home drought against them.
