Harinderpal enters semi-finals of PSA Satellite squash

Chennai, May 22 (UNI) India's Harinderpal Singh Sandhu shocked second seed and local favourite Nafiizwan Adnan 11-9, 11-6, 11-9 to enter the semi-finals of a PSA Tour satelite tournament in Kuala Lumpur.

The Indian, who will be playing his first Professional Squash Association semi-final, needed 49 minutes to upset the Malaysian in the quarter-final of the 3,000 dollar NSC satelite number 3 event at the National Squash Centre in Bukit Jalil.

Sandhu, who had earlier defeated six seed David Vidal of Spain, played some delightful drops and slotted some nicks on both flanks.

He will now play third seed Nafzahizam Adnan, older brother of Nafiizwan, in the last four.

Harinder's compatriots, Naresh Kumar, Surbhi Misra and Anwesha Reddy, however, failed to get past the first round, an SRFI release said.
