Haryana women boxing at Panchkula from Sept 22

Chandigarh, Sep 20 (UNI) The Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Department has decided to hold the Women Boxing Championship during the 21st Haryana State Women Sports Tournament scheduled to be held from September 22 to 24 at Panchkula.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Department said that cash prizes of Rs 500, Rs 300 and Rs 200 would be given to first, second and third winners of this boxing event in each weight category respectively. The weight categories are 46, 48, 50, 52, 54, 57, 60, 63, 66 and above 66 kilograms.

He said that seven women boxers, each from Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Hisar, Bhiwani, Faridabad, Jind, Rohtak and Rewari districts would participate in the boxing championship. At least four women in each category of weight would be required to participate in the championship.
