Hawks Triumph As Trae Young Sinks Buzzer-Beater From Halfcourt Against Jazz

In a thrilling finish, Trae Young hit a halfcourt buzzer-beater to secure a 124-121 victory for the Atlanta Hawks over the Utah Jazz. This win ended the Hawks' three-game losing streak.

Trae Young made a dramatic 3-pointer from beyond halfcourt, securing a 124-121 win for the Atlanta Hawks over the Utah Jazz. With time running out, Young received an inbounds pass and launched a 49-foot shot while Collin Sexton attempted to defend him. This came after Sexton's own 3-pointer tied the game with just four seconds left. Young ended the night with 24 points and 20 assists.

Dyson Daniels contributed significantly to the Hawks' victory with 16 points, seven assists, and six rebounds. Clint Capela added 18 points, while DeAndre Hunter scored 17. The Hawks managed to break their three-game losing streak with this win. Lauri Markkanen was impressive for the Jazz, achieving season highs of 35 points and eight 3-pointers. Collin Sexton also added 24 points for Utah.

Young's Buzzer-Beater Leads Hawks to Victory

The Jazz had a strong offensive stretch, scoring on five consecutive possessions. They took a brief lead at 114-113 following two dunks by Walker Kessler. However, Young's step-back 3-pointer regained the lead for Atlanta. He then assisted DeAndre Hunter for another crucial 3-pointer with less than two minutes remaining.

The Boston Celtics secured a victory against the Denver Nuggets with Jayson Tatum scoring 29 points and Kristaps Porzingis adding another 25. Despite Nikola Jokić's absence due to illness, the Celtics managed a 118-106 win. Porzingis also grabbed 11 rebounds, while Jrue Holiday contributed with 19 points.

The Celtics deviated from their usual strategy by attempting only 35 three-pointers compared to their average of over 50 per game. Instead, they dominated inside, outscoring Denver in the paint by a margin of 60-46. Russell Westbrook led Denver with 26 points, while Michael Porter Jr. added a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds.

Mavericks End Losing Streak Against Lakers

The Dallas Mavericks ended their five-game losing streak by defeating the Los Angeles Lakers with a score of 118-97. Quinten Grimes was instrumental in this victory, scoring a career-high six three-pointers as part of his total of 26 points along with nine rebounds and six assists.

P.J. Washington also played well for Dallas, contributing with 22 points and eight rebounds on efficient shooting. Despite missing key players Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving due to injuries, the Mavericks shot an impressive 52% from beyond the arc.

The Lakers struggled despite Anthony Davis leading them with his double-double performance of 21 points and twelve rebounds. LeBron James added near triple-double figures but couldn't prevent Los Angeles from losing its second consecutive game.
