The third edition of the HCL Cyclothon in Noida saw over 2,600 cyclists from 24 Indian states competing for a prize pool of 33.6 lakh rupees, the largest for any cycling event in India.
The race began at Gaur City Chowk and covered a 10 km loop along the Noida-Greater Noida link road. Participants included professional, amateur, and green riders, alongside local police and college students.

Since its inception in 2023, the HCL Cyclothon has become a significant event in India's cycling calendar. Held annually in Noida, Chennai, and Hyderabad, it has attracted around 12,000 cyclists from across the country.
The event is supported by state governments and provides a safe environment for both amateur and professional cyclists certified by the Cycling Federation of India (CFI).
The event was organised with support from the Uttar Pradesh Police Department and the Government of Uttar Pradesh. It featured various race categories to cater to different skill levels and age groups. These included the Professional Road Race (50 km), Amateur Road Race (60 km), Amateur MTB Road Race (26 km), another Amateur Road Race (26 km), and a Green Ride (10 km).
Ms. Laxmi Singh, Commissioner of Police for Gautam Budh Nagar, attended as Chief Guest. She expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative, stating that such events promote health and community engagement while contributing to a safer and greener city. She hopes Noida will become a hub for cycling and fitness activities.
Mr. Shikhar Malhotra, Director of HCL Group, highlighted the growing impact of the Cyclothon. He noted that cycling is an effective way to unlock human potential and promote healthy living. The enthusiastic participation in Noida's third edition reflects this sentiment.
The winners in the professional category were Swasti Singh from Odisha for females and Sahil Kumar from IAF for males. Runner-ups included Chayanika Gogoi from RSPB and Surya Thathu from Maharashtra.

HCL plans to designate an area in Noida as a fitness hub one Sunday each month starting May 2025. This initiative aims to foster community spirit while reinforcing HCL's commitment to promoting healthier lifestyles.

In recognition of their support during the Cyclothon, HCL presented water bottles, bags, and smartwatches to the Noida Traffic Police Department.
