Henin confirms entry for Eastbourne

LONDON, May 10 (Reuters) World number one Justine Henin will defend her Eastbourne grasscourt title next month.

The Belgian took the title last year on her first appearance in the traditional Wimbledon warm-up event before going on to reach the final at the All England Club.

''Eastbourne last year was a great event and the perfect preparation for me ahead of Wimbledon,'' Henin told the Lawn Tennis Association Web site (www.lta.org.uk).

Henin, currently in action at the German Open, has already won three titles this year in Warsaw, Doha and Dubai.
