Hercules 'Pedal for Mumbai' cycling event to be held on March 18

Mumbai, Mar 13 (UNI) TI Cycles of India in association with the Mumbai Traffic Police today announced the Hercules 'Pedal for Mumbai' cycling event to be held in the city on March 18.

The theme of the event is to promote cycling as an environmental friendly, non-polluting urban short distance mode of transport, President of TI Cycles Ramprasad told mediapersons here.

The cycle run will see an active participation from schools, colleges, senior citizens, special corporate teams, celebrities and people from different walks of the city. Along with them more than 100 cyclists from the Mumbai Traffic Police will also be participating in this event, he said.

TI Cycles has always seriously promoted activities that highlight the importance of cycling as a healthy mode of transport. ''We are delighted to partner this event that fosters the spirit of healthy living,'' he added.

Satish Mathur, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), who was also present on the occasion said that they were proud that TI Cycles is partnering us on this prestigious initiative. ''We welcome all the citizens of Mumbai to participate in large numbers and make this event a grand success,'' he said.
