Hindustan Club outplay Gorkha Regiment

New Delhi, Oct 19 (UNI) Local challenger Hindustan club outplayed Gorkha Regiment 4-0 in the qualifying round of the 120th Osian's Durand football Cup.

Daniel put Hindustan in the lead when he scored a fine goal in the 15th minute. After that, the local outfit increased the pressure on the rivals but failed to extend their lead further in the first segment of the match.

In the second half, Hindustan maintained their domination and raised the lead to 2-0 in the 73rd minute with a fine goal scored by Manish Mathani.

The winners, who held the sway over the procedings, indulged in bit of rough tackling, as their player Sarfarosh Khan was shown a yellow card for tackling from behind.

The last ten minutes of the match was ruled by Mahinder when he struck twice in the 83rd and the 91st minute of the match, there by taking the final tally to 4-0.
