HOC announces Rs 1 crore to gold medalists at Beijing

Chandigarh, Aug 4 (UNI) Haryana Olympic Association (HOC) president Abhey Singh Chautala today announced a lucrative cash incentive of Rs one crore to any Haryana player, who wins gold medal in the Beijing Olympics.

Mr Chautala said silver medalists from Haryana would be given a cash award of Rs 50 lakh each by the Association.

The bronze medalists would be given by Rs 25 lakh each.

The Haryana government had earlier announced Rs 2 crore to gold medal winners (of the state) at the Olympics.
